“An unexpected joy is seeing bag.uettes used to hold other things! I’ve seen them used for stacked fruit from a farmers market, stacked beers cans to go to a party, a wine bottle, an umbrella…”
Carly Dean – founder of bag.uettes
Each creation explores in an innovative way new materials and sewing techniques. As an architect, Carly applied the same principles of building construction to the bag sketch. Among her creations, there are interesting concepts in terms of how the bag is made, as “One long strap” and “65 circles”. In other cases, bags are born by scaling down an architectural principle or system: “Muzzle” takes inspiration from an exoskeleton structural system or “Twist” that traces a louvred facade.

And you know the best thing? All bags are zero waste, meaning each one begins as one rectangular piece of fabric and is constructed without producing scraps! Great, isn’t it?
